Recipe Thursday-Honey Nutella Rice Krispie Treats

Yummy! I love Rice Krispie treats, however I have never had them like this. Honey Nutella Rice Krispie Treats are by far the fanciest Rice Krispie treats that I have ever had. The honey in place of the marshmallow gave them a richer more gourmet flavor and they were easier to make and clean up:) The Nutella was a nice chocolaty addition too. The recipe is for a 8×8 glass baking dish, but I tripled it and used a 9×12 glass baking dish. This made the bars a bit thicker.

Honey Nutella Rice Krispie Treats

Yield 9 Servings
1/2 cup honey (991621)
1/2 cup Nutella (991616)
4 cups Rice Krispies (993556)
pan release spray (992016)

In a medium-sized microwave-safe bowl, combine honey and Nutella and microwave for 30 seconds. Stir.  The honey and Nutella should be hot and thoroughly combined.  If not, continue to microwave for ten seconds at a time and stir until they are. (If you don’t have a microwave, heat in a medium-sized saucepan on medium heat for five minutes.) Mix Rice Krispies into the bowl and stir, coating all of the Krispies. Spread mixture into a greased 8×8 glass baking dish. Refrigerate for at least three hours. Cut into squares and eat!
