Alessio Sauces

The recipe for Alessio’s original spaghetti sauce is prepared with only the finest, freshest all-natural ingredients and jarred immediately to seal in that robust Italian flavor without the need for artificial preservatives! The result is…less salt, less fat, Alessio’s! They also now have afredo sauce! They have prepared a creamy flavorful afredo sauce. To ensure quality freshness from their kettle to your table, they simmer the sauce in the time-honored method just as grandma Alessio did. It makes a great topping for pasta, chicken, veggies, eggs and seafood. It can also be used as a fondue or dip served with veggies and bread.

Recipe Thursday-Hatfield Slow Cooker Baby Back Ribs

Posted on March 19th, 2015 | Posted in Main Course, Recipes, Supplier of the Month

Ribs-Crockpot-3 (1 of 1)

Warmer weather and rib season is upon us! However in the colder months I experimented with slow cooker ribs and became a fan. They were simple to make, became tender and still got that crisp glaze on them from finishing them in the oven.

Click here to view our March Hatfield product specials.

Yield 6 Servings
3 racks Hatfield baby back ribs, trimmed (HTF1277, 2#AVG/18CT)
salt (991862, 50#) and ground black pepper, to taste (CQP064, GAL)
1 cup water
1 onion, sliced (00676, 50#)
1 clove garlic, minced (03016, 5#)
18 ounces barbecue sauce (991112, 4/GAL, Sweet Baby Rays)

Season ribs with salt and pepper and cut into pieces. Pour water into slow cooker. Layer the ribs into the slow cooker. Top the ribs with onion and garlic.
